Naivas Supermarkets, Kenya’s leading retail chain, today brought its 35th Anniversary homecoming journey to a
triumphant close with a grand celebration at the Sarova Woodlands Lawns in Nakuru, the birthplace of the iconic Kenyan retailer.
Following the emotional and symbolic heritage caravan from Nairobi to Nakuru, the celebration marked a powerful
moment of reflection, unity, and renewal.
For Naivas, Nakuru is more than a location; it is home, and this return represents a full-circle tribute to the people and communities that shaped its success.
The celebration was not just about
looking back but a premier platform for mutual partnership and growth.
The public festivities at the Sarova Lawns featured live entertainment, interactive brand booths, shopping offers, and
giveaways, bringing together thousands of customers in an atmosphere of joy and connection.
Meanwhile, the Naivas leadership team visited all four Nakuru outlets, delighting shoppers with gift vouchers and words of appreciation.
In the afternoon, Naivas leadership hosted an exclusive luncheon for its suppliers, partners, and other guests, held in a
private tent at the Sarova Lawns.
During this heartfelt gathering, outgoing CEO Mr. David Kimani was honored with a
special commemorative gift, symbolically crowning him the “Naivas Shepherd” in recognition of his visionary leadership and contribution to the company’s remarkable journey.
