Nyanchwa on Fire as Shabana FC Humiliates Kakamega Homeboyz 4-1

Gusii-based football team Shabana FC has once again delivered a stunning performance by thrashing Kakamega Homeboyz 4-1 in front of a packed Gusii Stadium.

The Glamour Boys victory was much needed, helping the boys to bounce back after a four-match winless streak.

The packed Gusii Stadium was set ablaze with celebration after Elvis Osok opened the scoring goal in the 32nd minute, giving Shabana the leading mantle.

The hosts, after clocking in the 65th minute, had the new signing Oscar Juma to double their advantage again just 11 minutes later, securing a brace and putting Shabana firmly in control in front of the ‘’torebobe’’ fans in the middle of Nyanchwa serenity.

Brian Michira brought the fans into a blow by sealing the emphatic win in the 86th minute, making it 4-1 and leaving Kakamega Homeboys crawling in the middle of the field with no chance of a comeback.

The visitors’ only consolation came from Henry Omollo, who found the net late in the match.

The victory now has lifted Shabana to sixth place in the standings with 33 points, much to the delight of coach Peter Okidi, who praised his team’s impressive performance.

‘’ It was a good game, and we pressed on well. The boys looked focused. We hope to continue performing exemplarily going forward to move up,’’ Coach Okidi said.

Homeboys’ coach, Francis Baraza, acknowledged his team’s mistakes and vowed to make improvements ahead of their next fixture.

‘Yes, boys tried but we own the mistakes and we lost let’s focus in the future games we shall improve next time.’’’’ Baraza said.

Meanwhile, Okidi credited his squad’s hard work and resilience, stating that past losses had motivated them to step up their game.

Okidi added, ‘’Boys focused, and we hope the fire keeps on burning. Fans are amazing, and we shall not let our supporters down at any time, it’s a winning time now.”
